My friend Sarah got an iPod for Christmas. So did my Mom. Even my 11-month-old nephew got his very own iPod for Christmas! My husband has one. My brother. And my sister, too.
But I don't.
I adore iPods. Steve Jobs should be President and spread Mac love across the world as far as I'm concerned. But I don't own an iPod.
I never really saw a need for one. My husband has picked a few out for me and keeps offering to buy me one, but I just don't know what I would do with it...at least I wouldn't do enough with it to make it worth the money. But when my 11-month-old nephew gets his own iPod...
So my birthday is 6 months away but I already have something to ask my husband for. I think he'll be very proud of me. I guess it's about time to jump on the iPod bandwagon.
So what do you use your iPod for and which one should I ask for? (And I still have 6 months to pick out a color...)

Please note we didn't have anything to do with Max getting an iPod. That was all Unkie Zach's doing. Erik would have gotten a new one long before we bought Max his own. And Erik's not getting a new one for quite a while!
Oh, and you're coming back to the States. Make him give you an iPhone!
Yeah, I was a little worried after posting this that the world would think that my brother and sister-in-law were the kind of people who felt like a toddler needed an iPod. But it's not that way...my nephew just has an uncle who felt like he needed to be a cool uncle...which he is!
But I adore the idea that little Max has his own music and video library so grow up with...so shouldn't I have one, too, that's not controlled by my husband?
Not that Karl is controlling (boy, I keep getting my foot in my mouth here, don't I?)...he just constantly has music on and he has good taste in music so I don't have to ever think much about music to listen to 'cause Karl already took care of that.
Hence my question...what will I be doing with my iPod?
Oh my gosh, I know exactly what you mean. I feel like the only person left who doesn't have some kind of mp3 device. On a recent flight, I discovered one great reason for a video ipod... watching downloaded TV shows made the time pass super quickly. I'll probably break down and get one soon.
kellybot...good point about the videos. I've travelled so much lately, a video iPod would have been nice!
Oh man! You'll love it! I have 650 songs on mine, and a bunch of TV shows (including the Anthony Bordaine Paris show Tyler bought for us when I was visiting) and I have only used half the space. I soooo love mine! I hope you love yours too!
If I ever join the ipod world I would get an ipod cozy from the same etsy gal who made my monkey coffee cup cozy. They are so cute! I might have to get one for my cell phone too.
